Did you ever get caught up in unknown fears, unreasonable negative thinking, pessimism, unexplained health problems, feelings of helplessness, paranoia, constant relationship issues, or sensing a heavy negative energy around you? This is Black Magic. Yes all of these conditions are almost the same as it appears in psychological conditions but all the time it's not a psychological condition. Black magic usually works through spells, rituals, or objects that send negative energy toward a person and person experience that negative energy through unexplained changes in one's mood and emotions. The motives? Most often it comes from people who hate you, are envious, jealous, or want to bring you down. Sometimes, it’s just an evil eye—done unknowingly by someone.

Through astrology, it’s possible to see who is more vulnerable to black magic and who is not. Let’s explore, whether you are prone to black magic or not?
First of all, you need your birth chart, calculated according to sidereal or Vedic astrology, because everything I’m discussing here is based on the sidereal zodiac system.
The very first thing to check is your Moon’s condition in your birth chart. An afflicted Moon makes a person more prone to black magic. But having an afflicted Moon doesn’t mean you will definitely be affected—it’s just the first warning sign.
To be fully prone, your Moon must have a connection with Rahu. This happens if Rahu is in the same house as your Moon or in the 2nd, 5th, or 9th house from your Moon. When this connection exists, the Moon becomes vulnerable to black magic.
Why Rahu? Rahu is associated with illusion, confusion, and hidden or mysterious influences. It can attract unusual, sudden, or unconventional experiences such as supernatural or negative energies.
When it connects to your Moon in your birth chart or in transit, it can distort your mind, emotions, and relationships, making it easier for negative energy or magic to affect you.
If your Moon is strong, however, this Rahu connection only indicates failed attempts of black magic. Someone might try to harm you, but they won’t succeed. A person may feel depressed or angry without reason, and unreasonable negative thinking can disturb their mind. They may experience fear, paranoia, paranormal activity, sense some energy presence in their surroundings, or face unexplained health issues. But in this case, it usually doesn’t last long and won’t cause the person to take extreme or harmful actions. These effects happen for a while and then go away on their own, without creating much havoc—unlike in the case of an afflicted and weak Moon.
A Moon is usually considered strong if:
It’s in its own sign or exaltation. That is when your moon is placed in the cancer or taurus sign.
It has directional strength which means your moon is sitting in the 4th house of your birth chart.
It is under the influence of Shub Kartari Yoga that happens when any natural benefic like Venus, Jupiter, or Mercury is in the house before and after the Moon.
It is in Pushkara Navamsa, a very favorable condition. Your Moon is required to be at a certain degree in your birth chart to be in Pushkara Navamsa. Here is a table that is showing some degrees range for each zodiac sign. If your sidereal Moon sign falls within these degrees, it’s in Pushkara Navamsa.
Moon in the same sign in D1 (natal) and D9 (Navamsa) chart means Moon is virgottam. This also shows moon's strength.
Moon not afflicted by multiple malefics (like Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or Mars) is naturally stronger.
Moon-Jupiter Parivartan Yoga that is Moon and Jupiter exchanging signs, also boost Moon’s strength.
Moon in its Own Nakshatra also Strengthens its emotional stability. Moon nakshatras include Rohini, Hasta and Shravana.
The Moon’s dispositor also indicates the Moon’s strength. Even if the Moon itself is weak, a strong dispositor provides a saving grace, protecting from the harmful effects of evil energies.
In addition to all these; A bright Moon is far less likely to get affected by black magic as compared to a dark Moon.
A Moon is considered dark if it has little or no light, which happens when:
Your Moon sign is the same as your Sun sign.
Or Your Moon is two signs before or two signs after your Sun sign.
For example, if your Sun is in Scorpio and your Moon is in Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, or Capricorn, you have a dark Moon.
People with a dark Moon are more vulnerable to evil energies.
Even if your Moon is not having any sign of strength in D1 chart, but it is strong in your D9 chart, it is still protected from the evil affects from black magic.
The more signs a person has, the stronger the Moon is.
Apart from moon strength, there are certain other signs of protection in one's birth chart that shows native is protected from evil energies.

A strong and unafflicted Sun, or an unafflicted bright Moon in the 8th house, indicates that the person can foresee evil before it happens and is likely to have divine protection from evil energies.
In addition to this, Jupiter’s 5th or 9th aspect on your Moon is very, very auspicious in this respect, but there are certain conditions attached to it that increase or decrease its effectiveness, which vary from person to person.
